Hello there my lovely friends!

Today is the National Rubber Ducky Day! In 1970, Jim Henson performed the song “Rubber Duckie” as Ernie on Sesame Street, and the rubber duck bath toy has been an iconic American symbol ever since. Rubber ducks have been around since the rise of the rubber industry in the late 1800s, but no one knows their exact origin. My friend Bubica Simple Nails and I decided to do some nail art to celebrate it!

Danas je nacionalni dan GUMENIH PATKICA! Jim Henson je 1970. izveo pjesmu 'Rubber Duckie' kao Ernie na Ulici Sezam, i gumena patkica je postala kultni Američki simbol odtad. Gumene patkice postoje od

rasta gumene industrije u kasnim 1800, ali nitko ne zna njihovo pravo podrijetlo. Moja prijateljica Bubica Simple Nails i ja smo odlučile proslavit ovaj dan uz malo nail arta!

I talked to Bubica and when she sent me her nail art I was like OMG. I just think her nail art skills are amazing, she keeps amazing me everyday. <3 For my nails, you know, I did them my way, the badass way.
And why do i think that rubber duckies are badass? You find out right now!

Pričala san s Bubicon i kad mi je poslala svoje slike ostala san paf <3. Mislin, žena je stvarno talentirana i svaki dan me iznenađuje. <3 Za svoje nokte, ono, ja radin stvari na svoj neki način, sve mi je trenutno badass, tako i patkice haha. A zašto mislin da su gumene patkice badass? Sad ćete saznati!

Did you know that in January of 1992, a shipment of 29,000 rubber duckies fell off a cargo ship in the Pacific Ocean? By 2007, the “Friendly Floatees” had traveled 17,000 miles around the world on the ocean currents. Some are still afloat today! Over the years, people reported sightings in Indonesia, Australia, South America, the Arctic, and (eventually) the Atlantic Ocean. Just imagine if a random rubber ducky from 1992. floats to you. YES I AM THE CHOSEN ONE.

Jeste li znali da je u siječnju 1992., isporuka 29000 gumenih patkica pala sa teretnog broda u Pacifik? Do 2007., 'Prijateljske plutalice' su proputovale 17000 milja oko ciloga svita putem oceanskih struja. Neke još dan danas plutaju! Tijekom godina, ljudi su ih viđali u Indoneziji, Australiji, Južnoj Americi, Arktiku, i (eventualno) Atlantiku. Morete zamislit odete na more i neka random gumena patkica dopluta do Vas?
